A Newsvine Poll??? Not again. Yes, here is another one. The aim is to get a better picture of how our valuable time is spent on Newsvine. Also, who we are, what we do, how we do it and why. Please help me to draft a poll if you wish to participate in conducting a brief research among newsviners.
The aim is to brainstorm questions rather than answer them. Of course you are welcome to reply the sample questions, but it would really help to refine a potential survey, not necessarily carried out here and now.
To start with, I have tried to check if anybody has already done such a poll, and couldn't find one. Please tell me, if it is a redundant trial.
A few of the queries I would find useful:
A, How many hours do you spend on newsvining?
Seeding (including searching piece of news, summing up the main points, adding extra info to that, i.e. extra search to complement the content, or just extra note):
Writing an article for Newsvine (including preparation time):
Talking to friends about Newsvine:
B, How much do you estimate the percentage of time spent on newsvining compared to the total number of hours spent on the web by you?
How many people have you invited to the Newsvine?
How many have actually registered out of them?
How many do you think shows active participation out of the registered users?
How many tags have you put on the list so far?
How many Viners (registered, and at least commented/seeded) do you have on the Watchlist?
How many active users do you predict by the end of 2006? (closest guess gets an invitation for a lunch in Hungary)
When do you think Newsvine Team will go on holiday in 2006?
